Elliot of Layman is the castle city’s new Overseer of Municipal Integration. His duty, given to him by Layman’s venerable castellan, is to meet the outsiders wishing to begin lives within the city walls, and to help them realise their dreams.
But Elliot’s primary customers include the secretive ‘kin of humanity,’ creatures taking human shape that have until now prowled alone in the night. One by one, Elliot brings them into the light, tackling their individual needs and hungers as best as one man can.
